Do not grow weary in doing good,
for at the proper time we will reap
a harvest if we do not give up.
Galations 6:9

1. Members agree to pursue a standard of excellence in education by
teaching biblical principles, life skills, and academics.

2.Members agree to diligently and consistently teach their children a course of study fitting to their physical and mental capabilities, and to provide parental supervision during school hours.

3.Members will provide and pay for their curriculum and teaching supplies.

4. Members realize that while HCA is maintaining student cumulative records, HCA is not responsible for the student’s actual education.

5.Members understand that when their children attend school-sponsored activities they are required to attend with their children and are responsible for their safety and supervision.

6.Members understand that failure to pay tuition in accordance with the tuition schedule and the signed tuition agreement without notifying HCA administration of extenuating circumstances will result in automatic dismissal.

7.Members understand it is their responsibility to obtain the record-keeping forms provided by HCA. Members will keep records and provide reports to HCA as required. If reports are delinquent, parents agree to pay late fees as specified in the fee and tuition schedule.

8.Members agree to read the HCA statement of faith and agree to respect and support the biblical principles upon which HCA is founded. Any member who purposefully seeks to destroy or diminish the Christ-centered environment of HCA will be counseled and possibly dismissed from the school.

9.Members know they must join Home School Legal Defense Association as a condition of enrollment.

10.Members understand that it is essential that both parents are in agreement concerning home education.

11.Parents agree to insure that their children are in attendance a minimum of 180 days between June 15 of the year and June 14 of the following year.

12.Parents of Jr. and Sr. high school students understand that, while they may design another individual course of study, they must meet Harvest Christian Academy’s graduation requirements in order to receive a diploma from HCA.

13.Parents understand that HCA is not WASC accredited, as is the case with many private schools. Although private independent study is a legal option for education in California, it is within the jurisdiction of individual colleges and schools to either accept or deny previous credit earned through private independent study programs such as HCA. HCA will provide as much support and assistance as possible should such a need arise, but does not accept responsibility for the final decision which rests in the authority of the accepting institution.
